Good Morning ! What a great summer here in New England-real beach weather for us. Time to be casual in shorts, tees, and flip-flops, and a few pretty dresses for parties. Well Ladies its time to get dressed again! We have some besutiful and unusual pieces for you to wear with that little black dress-and, we have the dress! Barbara Wells has sent us lovely knit jackets in taupe with black, purple with sand, and black with Hermes orange pockets (see web site) Catherine ANdre has sent Fuschia with medievasl designs, turquoise and red, green and purples. Purple is big this fall as are various shares of pink-red. The coats are spectacular. We have knits to wrap around us for winter, and, a special item from Blue Duck that is a black silk swing 3/4 jacket lined in black dyed rabbit-its gorgeous and oh so warm. The New Zealand order arrives this week and we will try to have images up for you by next week. They are always a treat and so weabable. I hope your season is starting with many wonderful events. welcome spring! we have all been through a very interesting weather pattern at the start of 2011 but, it looks like we will really have spring soon. Catherine Andre is giving us some welcome color with her taste of Southern France, Moontide is continuing with lovely bamboo and cotton in many styles and out Japanese friends continue to amaze me with their resilience. Check out the web site, and watch for information on events. We spent a few days in New York at the shows for fall. Lots of new styles-dresses are back, cashmere is in, very edge-y Tees are everywhere! Copper, purple, back to black, saffron, some reds in sweaters, dresses, blouses for fall. coats with fur real and not, gorgeous scarves. We will be starting early this year-mid-end August. Hopefully I will be in the Southwest in May to check out more new accessories for you. Stay warm until it gets warm and thanks for being here! Elaine

Well its been a busy season. Lots of travel, research, and selling new lines. Beyond Threads evryone loves-the alpaca vests and wrap jackets are still going strong. Weare almost out of Catherine’s gorgeous scarves and shawls, and the Japanese silks are finding a welcome by our friends and far away customers. Now that December is here much will go slowly on sale.Karen Allen,s cashmere mitts have been very popular this season, and her scarves are lucious-a new color of flame and red combined is spectacular. Our friends in Scotland have supplied us with great orange cashmere gloves for gift giving, and oh those socks!!! We have several different versions. Call us for gift ideas and free shipping! Our web page is filling up with beautiful stuff from Catherine Andre, Beyond Threads, and our friends from Kyoto! Its almost September and Catherine’s collection is full of fall colors. Deep purples and oranges-Cabernet reds and greens. Great wearable jackets from Peru as only Beyond Threads can do-delicious scarves from Akihiko Izukura with many more to come. Our other Japanese company is Nuno and we will photograph it for you upon arrival.The clothes are for going plsced whether it be to a gallery opening or the workplace or both in the same day. Form is in no matter what it is. Belts and scarves change everything and make a new wardrobe. Have you seen I m Love? Its extrodinary. Also take a look at the lush colors and cut of the clothing worn by the Women and the austere/formal looking men. Its a film worth watching in many ways. Talk about this fall!!! Julie is downloading the gorgeous Catherine Andre colletion that we should have in store by the end of next week-fingers crossed! Those fabulous french always do IT! Super chic, fabulous fabrics, timeless and ageless. There’s a reefer 3/4 coat that will fit most figures (I tried it on in NY) in two beautiful colorways, smart, slouchy, and very sophisticated. An orange tweed pullover/jacket-great with jeans (black) or over a pencil skirt-hides whatever needs to be hidden. The scarves are always very special, each has its own story both in colors and in styles whether puckered, fine or cozy. Hi, first of all Santafe. If you go, Deloney and Newkirk have two galleries on Canyon Rd. Linda runs one, JIm the other. Both Galleries are full of wonderful paintings, and the owners superb and friendly. Linda comes from Texas and will make you right at home! So much beauty. When you finish go to the Teahouse at the end of Canyon for Latte’s, Tea or breakfast, lunch and see some “stars”! Very trendy. Next I did a small event for the Women’s Business Network of the Blackstone Valley Chamber. I urge people to find out about these wonderful opportunities for networking as well as hearing from others in the business field. Lots of blog talk! Watch the web site for the Catherine Andre items that are moving through quickly! In August we will be starting to receive our big Beyond Threads fall order, its a very exciting season for them in color and in style and we are very happy for the opportunity to offer them to you. Good Morning! I hope you all enjoyed the beautiful week-end-I can’t remember a Memorial Day like it! News Flash! Check out the new Catherine Andre items on the web page.I received 20 pieces from France on Friday-they are only one each, no other sizes or colors so think fast!!! Julie and I spent the day yesterday getting them up.Her colors and fabrics are always amazing, each piece a work of art. I am doing a Trunk Show at Lilys in Great Barrington on the 19th and 20th, and an event for the Blackstone Chamber on the 17th with whatever remains. Moontide Dyers is going well, of course, so many fabulous colors. Dorrie Maynard at Blackstone Vignettes on Harrison St. (508 752 5310) has some pieces to sell for us amongst her very trendy items. Almost May you fashion seekers! Whats new?? We will be putting up new images of the latest Moontide Dyers wonderful summer collection later this week so watch the web site. The colors are sensational-hot pink and white, “pebble”, a very cool limey chatreusey color in a cap sleeve-great with cream color pants or longer shorts for the beach evenings you can put together with a great shawl from Catherine A. Also we are launching a big Promo on the Rodeo Shirt-with images also coming up on the web page. We have it pink or blue. Its a “camp” shirt, straight up and down, longish, can be worn with or without a belt, done in a lovely soft crepe material. It can be worn with jeans of any color and any length. Check out the pattern, its very sophisticated out west. For those of you who live nearby, along with Dorrie Maynard, Elaine is co hosting an event at Blackstone Vignette’s, Dorries latest wonderful, funky Co-Op Shop on Thursday April 29th from 5-8. Her address is 19 Harrison St. We will be serving refreshments for your cocktail hour, and, having many specials.(Mothers Day is coming right up) Lots of fun included.For dinner there are many wonderful retaurants nearby in this revitalized area.Lets celebrate this beautiful spring! March First! Horray! Its been an interesting season for all of us and we hope that with the longer days of light we are going into a beautiful spring and summer. We are waiting for our spring/summer order from Catherine Andre to arrive, its due in store on the 15th and will be up on the web this week!Check out the lace T’s-they are really great and with the right scarf/shawl all you need with white pants or jeans, or for a dressier look, silk pants or a silk skirt. Moontide Dyers will be in store in April.(on web in advance) This season we are featuring both cap sleeve, tanks, and long sleeved shirts in wonderful colors such as pebble, candy, seaglass and butter cream. They look as delicious as they sound. There will be some skirts (new shorter length) and footless tights as well. Barbara Wells did a little black dress and Sprithouse a new line of various items. Keep checking. The nice thing is that not only can you wear them this season, but, they will be great for traveling all year long.
